Designing with Nature’s Light

Modern interior design is shifting towards ‘Biophilic Design’- connecting indoor spaces with the natural world. Alexander’s provides the ultimate material for this movement: Himalayan Salt.

We supply architects and interior designers with precision-cut salt bricks, tiles, and raw boulders. When backlit, these translucent stones transform from solid rock into glowing amber features, adding a warmth and timeless elegance that no artificial material can replicate.

Illuminated Feature Walls

A Himalayan salt wall is more than a partition; it is a living art piece. The unique crystalline structure of our salt diffuses light softly, creating a calming ambiance perfect for high-end restaurants, hotel lobbies, and executive offices

Functional Decor & Lamps

Beyond structural elements, Alexander’s offers a curated collection of hand-crafted decor. From massive raw boulders weighing 50kg to delicate geometric lamps, every piece is unique. These are not just ornaments; they are natural negative ion generators that counteract the ‘electronic smog’ emitted by computers and devices

Technical Consultation

Working with salt requires specific knowledge of lighting and humidity control. For example, to achieve the signature ‘glow,’ LED backlighting must be spaced correctly behind the brick wall.

Our design team collaborates with your contractors to provide technical specs on weight-bearing loads (salt is heavy!) and the correct specialized glues to use for a permanent, safe installation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I build a salt wall in a humid area like a bathroom?

It is possible, but requires caution. Salt absorbs moisture. If the room has poor ventilation and high humidity, the salt may ‘weep’ (sweat). We recommend sealing the bricks or ensuring excellent ventilation if installed near water sources.

Standard cement cannot be used as it reacts with the salt. We recommend a special transparent epoxy or a salt-based adhesive. We can supply the correct adhesive with your bulk order to ensure the wall remains stable and the joints remain invisible.

No. The color comes from mineral traces (iron, magnesium) locked inside the crystal lattice millions of years ago. As long as the salt is not dissolved by water, the color will remain vibrant forever

Yes. Our fabrication facility uses water-jet cutting technology. We can create custom signage, logos, or curved architectural elements from compressed salt slabs upon request
