Himalayan salt is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture), so it should be used in humidity-controlled environments (under 60% humidity). For saunas, we recommend using our specific ‘hard-vein’ rocks that are more resistant to heat and moisture fluctuations.
How do you clean a salt wall?
Maintenance is minimal. Because salt is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, it does not harbor germs. A simple dry dusting or a slightly damp cloth is all that is needed. Never soak the bricks.
